Water Coming Into Tryon, NC Basement Has WaterGuard Drain Installed

Water intrusion in basements and crawlspaces is an extremely common problem, which is an unfortunate truth for homeowners almost everywhere. Even a small amount of water intrusion can cause some pretty serious issues, so even small leaks should be looked at seriously. This happened to be the case for this homeowner in Tryon, NC. There were only a few places where the water was coming through, but where it was coming through, it was a lot.

The "before" photo shows one of the main areas that the water was coming into the basement by. As you can see, the area that the water is coming from is not very big, but the amount of water that has come into the basement is pretty significant. This would happen to the homeowner quite often, and they knew it was something that needed to be taken care of as soon as they could.

The "after" picture provides a much different look at the basement, it almost looks like a new area! The main product that was installed was the WaterGuard drain, which is installed around the perimeter of the basement to catch any and all water that may come through the basement walls. After the water is caught by the WaterGuard, it is drained down to the SuperSump where it gets pumped out and away from the home.

Finished Basement with Water Intrusion in Lake Toxaway, NC Gets WaterGuard Drainage

While a lot of the areas that we work in are unfinished basements, we certainly do work in finished basement areas as well. In fact, this very home had a finished basement! They are a little trickier to work in, because we want to make as little mess as possible, especially with carpet and drywall. This can be a problem especially with WaterGuard, because we have to remove the concrete which creates a lot of dust. But with a little bit of clean-up, we got it back to normal!

The "before" photo shows what this area looked like before our crew came to install the products. While it seems pretty normal, it can be difficult to see water intrusion, especially if it is a slower leak. However, this can be a serious issue and because carpet can easily absorb the water, holding it long enough for mold to grow, it is something that needs to be taken care of sooner.

The "after" picture shows what the area looked like after the WaterGuard had been installed. While it may not seem like much, it actually is a very effective system. It catches the water before it even has a chance to soak into the carpet. Once the water is in the WaterGuard, it drains to the SuperSump that was installed, where it is then pumped out and away from the home. After this dries, the carpet can be put back, and no one will even see our system!

Rosman, NC Basement Waterproofing

We get to see a lot of basements in our line of work (who would've known!), and while this one doesn't seem like it is in that bad of condition, it was having some water intrusion issues. It was severe enough that rather than only installing WaterGuard, we had our crew also install CleanSpace wall, which catches more water along the wall.

The "before" picture shows what the basement looked like before the products were installed in the home's basement. Again, although it does not look too bad, at times there was pretty severe water intrusion, so the homeowner wanted to make sure that they would be protected. This was even more important to the homeowner because they used their basement quite often. This is definitely a decision that the homeowner will not regret, as they will pretty much never have to worry about water in their basement again. With an annual visit from our Service Technician, they can make extra sure that everything is running properly!

The "after" photo shows the same area but with all of our products installed. The first thing that you probably notice in the picture is the CleanSpace, which is the white material that covers most of the basement wall. This is definitely an important part of the system because it helps to collect any water that comes through the basement wall. However, the real difference is made through the next two products; the WaterGuard and SuperSump pump. The WaterGuard is actually in the floor, so it can't be seen, however, it runs along the perimeter of the basement and collects all of the water that runs down the CleanSpace. The water then drains down to the sump pump, where it is pumped outside to an area where there is no risk of the water coming back towards the home.

Home in Campobello, SC Enccapsulated

When it comes to your crawlspace, protecting it from moister is very important. In this Campobello, SC home the crawlspace was taking on large amounts of moister. Not only was moister the problem, but the crawlspace was littered with debris, trash, and an old liner.  To solve this problem, our All-Dry of the Carolinas team encapsulated the entire crawlspace.

Our All-Dry crew was able to install a series of our waterproofing technology that would take care of the water issue in the crawlspace. Our crew installed a CleanSpace liner, sump pump, and dehumidifier. When encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, it seals the area to keep moisture from creeping up from the ground and causing damage to your foundation.   A dehumidifier was placed in the crawlspace as a solution to the humidity that is produced from the pipes under your house. A SumpPump is to flush out entering water and excess water from the dehumidifer from the crawlspace. Together with all these tools, the crawlspace is completely protected from moisture.

SuperSump Sump Pump System Installed in Inman, SC

This homeowner was worried about the water intrusion that they were experiencing in their lake house in Inman, SC. This was an even more pressing issue since the owners did not live in this home year-round. They wanted to get this problem taken care of so that they wouldn't have to worry about water getting into the basement, or having to constantly check on this home.

One of the main parts of this system was the SuperSump that was installed in the home's basement. The sump pump is what really gets the water out of the basement and away from the home. In this basement, we also installed WaterGuard and ZenWall Panels. These are both extremely important to the system. The ZenWall helps to give the basement a more finished feel, but its inorganic construction allows it to drain any water coming through the basement walls to the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard is a perimeter drain that collects the water from around the basement and drains it to the sump.

This basement was the perfect size for this sump pump. One of the things that we like to do is to solve our customer's problems while doing our best to keep our system from being visible. Sometimes this is almost impossible, but this home had a perfectly sized closet, that just barely had enough room for this SuperSump to fit in it. This also worked pretty well for the drain line, going up along the wall and out to the driveway and eventually the yard!
