We Install WaterGuard in Basement Burnsville, NC

Repeat after me: WaterGuard is the way to go. Did you say it? You should have because it’s true. Our WaterGuard is the piping system many competitors wish they had. WaterGuard intercepts water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it away unseen. It’s the perfect product for any basement that is having water intrusion issues. This Burnsville, NC basement was no different.

Our ‘before’ photo showcases a relatively normal basement. It looks fine at a glance. However, if we take a look closer, we begin to notice this ghostly white residue along the walls. You guessed it. That’s efflorescence. It’s what is left behind after water has come and gone. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but most homeowners have no idea how to deal with it.

That’s where All-Dry of the Carolinas comes into play.

We use a large variety of products here at All-Dry of the Carolinas. Even so, one of the last things we want do is hand a customer more than what they need. In this ‘after’ photo, you can see how we kept it simple. This basement called for WaterGuard and that’s what we delivered. We made a small incision along the perimeter, as we promised, inserted the WaterGuard system, and walked away. The job was done. We covered it with cement, and as soon as it dries, no one will notice the difference.

Previously Flooded Basement in Barnardsville, NC Gets WaterGuard Drain System

This homeowner was in the middle of a renovation of their basement, but not on their own accord. Unfortunately this homeowner's basement had flooded and wrecked most of the area. They were in the middle of the renovation when they called us to see what we would be able to do for them. They wanted to make sure that before they finished it up, that they made sure they were protected from another flooded basement.

This is only a small part of the entire system, and only shows one small corner of the entire basement. However, these pictures give a pretty good idea of what the basement looked like both before and after the work was finished. You can see a little of the water damage along the wall, which is never a good sign. Mold can very easily grow on wet drywall, which can cause many more problems.

But have no fear, because WaterGuard is here! The after photo shows part of the installed system. This will help to prevent any water from staying in the basement, by collecting it and immediately draining it to the SuperSump Pump, which then pumps the water away from the home. The homeowner was so happy to not have to worry about this ever happening to them again.

WaterGuard and SuperSump Installed in Alexander, NC Basement with Water Intrusion

Water intrusion is an issue that we have seen since the very beginning of our business. This home was proof that water problems in basements are not going anywhere. Unfortunately, this is a reality that too many have to face. However, there is a relatively simple, and effective way to keep water out of the basement.

This home had been plagued with water intrusion and all of the problems that go along with it for awhile. The problems started to get worse, so they finally made a few calls, which led them to us. They set up an appointment with one of our Systems Design Specialist, who was able to visit the home and figure out exactly what was needed to keep water out of their basement. In order to prevent water intrusion and a high humidity level in the basement, our Specialist suggested our WaterGuard Drain, SuperSump Pump System, and a dehumidifier to help with the humidity level.

Once our crew got to the house a few weeks later, they immediately began working. They began by removing a few inches of concrete floor near the wall, as well as a hole for the sump pump. The SuperSump pump system was then installed and the crew began to work on the discharge line. Meanwhile, the WaterGuard drain was being installed in the "trench" that was cut out for it. Once everything was installed, the crew mixed up some concrete so that the WaterGuard and area around the sump pump could be covered, making it seem like nothing ever happened.

Our purpose for each job is to provide a solution to every issue that a homeowner may have, while also trying to leave as little of a footprint as possible. We want to fix your home, while making as few changes as possible.

Basement Waterproofing in Clyde, NC

This homeowner noticed a problem when he saw that water was slowly seeping into his finished basement. This is a killer when it comes to water intrusion. Sometimes a home may just have a flood of water when it rains, but this isn't the standard. Often, water intrusion and later water damage/mold problems come from a slow leak or seeping, because it is much less noticeable than a "river" flowing under your home. This is what began happening to this customer.

The "before" picture shows the area before the Waterguard was installed. While you can't see water in this photo, this was one of the main areas where water was seeping through the block wall.

The "after" photo shows off the same area, but with the Waterguard drain system installed. While the Waterguard does not prevent water from seeping through the wall, it does reroute the water to the sump pump. This prevents water from simply sitting and soaking into the floor, wall, or even the drywall. This is especially important to the drywall since mold can and will start to grow on the organic materials in the drywall.
