CleanSpace Provides the Best Solution in Asheville, NC

All-Dry of the Carolinas has been in the waterproofing business for over twenty-five years. We’ve seen everything. Nothing surprises us anymore, especially something as common as a dirt crawlspace. So, we weren’t surprised when this Asheville, North Carolina homeowner contacted us about a flooding issue in their crawlspace. Not only did this crawlspace have a dirt floor, but it also had cement block walls. These walls are often trouble for crawlspaces in wet areas because they are extremely porous. They allow water to pass through them quite easily, which explains the flooding problem.

After we managed to get out to the property, our Design Specialist was able to recommend a CleanSpace liner, among other things. The liner would act as a moisture barrier, keeping the water from entering into the crawlspace. We covered the floor, the walls, and wrapped the piers in the space for added coverage.

It’s a great deal cleaner than it used to be with that CleanSpace.

Basement in Asheville, NC Installs WaterGuard and SuperSump pump

The problem with block walls is simple: they’re porous. They allow water right into your basement. Once the water gets in, there is simply no way to prevent it from staining your floor. Take a look at our “before” photo. See those dark spots along the floor and wall? That is where water has come and gone. As long as there is rain, the water will continue to creep in and pool—unless it’s stopped. That is where we come into play.

In the “after” photo, All-Dry of the Carolinas has installed our solution. We made an incision along the perimeter of the wall to capture the water that comes through it. The WaterGuard piping system then directs the water into the SuperSump pump. The pump then directs the water out of the basement.

Water problem solved.

Humidity problem solved in Woodfin basement and crawl space

This home in Woodfin, NC was getting large volumes of water into the basement and crawl space. To solve this problem they went with a variety of waterproofing products that work together to keep the space dry. CleanSpace was added to the crawl space section of the home to keep ground moisture from entering the air. CleanSpace was also added to the walls on the basement side that would lead water into the WaterGuard that was placed around the perimeter of the room. A SuperSump was added to under the home to flush water from the space.

In the before pictures you can see the basement and crawl space that are dirty and uncared for. Once our All-Dry team was able to get to work, you can see that CleanSpace was added to the crawl space section and WaterGuard added to the basement.

SuperSump in Asheville, NC

This home in Asheville, NC was experiencing water pooling in their basement. For help they call our team at All-Dry of the Carolinas! Our team installed a SuperSump Pump to rid the basement of its water. The SuperSump can pump up to 2,650 gallons an hour, has a WaterWatch system, Superliner with 96 holes for water flow, and an Airtight Lid. The SuperSump works in coordination with the Aprilaire, a dehumidifier which is used to collecting extra moister that is produced under your home. The SuperSump has a dehumidifier drain that connects the two machines to fully expel water from the crawlspace. From the machines, the water is pushed from the crawlspace through a drainage system to the LawnScape outlet.

Cleanspace Liner Installation in Wet Crawlspace in Asheville, NC

This home needed some work done in its crawlspace after the homeowner's found standing water and damp ground around the crawlspace. There were several products we used in this project, the main one being our CleanSpace Liner. This products helps to keep your crawlspace separated from the outside world, and especially the earth underneath your home, which is a huge contributor to moisture under the home.

The "before" photo shows part of the basement before the CleanSpace liner had been installed. You can see how the previous crawlspace liner does not even cover all of the ground. In the patch of exposed dirt, you can see damp earth, which is never a good sign.

This "after" photo shows the same area (although from a different angle) after the CleanSpace had been installed. As you can see, our liner goes at least partially up the wall, depending on what our Specialists recommend and what the homeowner decides. This customer decided to take it all the way up the crawlspace wall. Any seams are sealed tight and correctly, leaving no gaps for water or water vapor to get in, or out.
