While a lot of the areas that we work in are unfinished basements, we certainly do work in finished basement areas as well. In fact, this very home had a finished basement! They are a little trickier to work in, because we want to make as little mess as possible, especially with carpet and drywall. This can be a problem especially with WaterGuard, because we have to remove the concrete which creates a lot of dust. But with a little bit of clean-up, we got it back to normal!
The "before" photo shows what this area looked like before our crew came to install the products. While it seems pretty normal, it can be difficult to see water intrusion, especially if it is a slower leak. However, this can be a serious issue and because carpet can easily absorb the water, holding it long enough for mold to grow, it is something that needs to be taken care of sooner.
The "after" picture shows what the area looked like after the WaterGuard had been installed. While it may not seem like much, it actually is a very effective system. It catches the water before it even has a chance to soak into the carpet. Once the water is in the WaterGuard, it drains to the SuperSump that was installed, where it is then pumped out and away from the home. After this dries, the carpet can be put back, and no one will even see our system!
Many people have liners similar to the one shown in the photo installed. While these liners can help out a little bit, they certainly cannot keep water and moisture out in the long (or even short) term. This homeowner had found this out the hard way when the high moisture level continued to increase. This plastic liner was much too thin to provide proper protection against the moisture and it also wasn't sealed correctly, which is the bigger issue.
The "before" picture shows part of the crawlspace with the thin, plastic crawlspace liner. Fortunately enough this homeowner caught the high humidity level content before the too much damage was caused to the crawlspace. Once the homeowner noticed the high humidity levels, he immediately starting to search for someone to solve this issue and found us! Our System Design Specialist was happy to help this homeowner solve this issue in the best way possible.
The "after" picture shows the same area, but with the CleanSpace Liner installed. The CleanSpace is much thicker than the old liner, but just as importantly, it is sealed tightly to the walls of the crawlspace. The crew also wraps the piers (or posts in this case) and tape the seams to make sure that moisture can't get in through their either. Not only is CleanSpace great at keeping the water out of the crawlspace, but it also makes the crawlspace look much better!
Water in the crawlspace of a home is something that a homeowner never wants to see, but unfortunately many do. Water in a crawlspace can lead to many different problems such as high humidity levels, mold growth, and wood rot. The longer that there is water in the crawlspace, the worse these problems can get, because if water is able to get in once, it more than likely can get in again.
The before picture shows a crawlspace that had quite a bit of water in it mainly from water intrusion through the walls. This is a very common issue that is usually caused by pressure from the soil, which presses water through the crawlspace walls. Having this water in the crawlspace can cause a lot of troubles, such as mold growth or even wood rot. Fortunately, this homeowner caught the issue before too much damage was done.
The after photo shows off what the area looked like after the CleanSpace was installed in the crawlspace of the home. Having the CleanSpace installed completely changes the look and function of the crawlspace. The CleanSpace makes the area look and feels a lot nicer and cleaner, but that isn't even the best part! More importantly, the CleanSpace acts as a barrier to separate the crawlspace from the ground, helping to keep the water out of the crawlspace.
This customer had a huge problem. They were in desperate need of some kind of foundation support system to fix these huge cracks in their home. Our crew installed our FSI Push Pier System in order to fix these and it really did the trick!
The "before" picture shows a huge crack in the customer's garage. We see small cracks which can cause a problem, but we hardly see cracks that you can see through to the outside!
The "after" photo shows the same crack after we installed our Push Piers and sealed the crack. You can see just how big of a difference the push piers can make! The best things about our products are that they give each and every one of our customers peace of mind after they are installed! This goes for both preventative work and work after the problem has already arisen.
Water in a crawlspace is something that a homeowner never wants to see, but unfortunately many do. Water can show itself in a crawlspace many different ways, sometimes it may be a small puddle of water and in another crawlspace, there may be a little condensation of a floor joist or pipe. However, when a problem is not taken care of quickly or goes unnoticed, the water may show itself in much more obvious ways.
The "before" photo gives a pretty good impression on what the entire crawlspace looked like when our System Design Specialist first went out to the home. The ground in the crawlspace was quite damp, but there was an even more obvious indication of high moisture levels in this crawlspace. The insulation and floor joists were completely soaked with water, which was causing the insulation to begin falling. The top left of the photo shows an area where the water has completely soaked the floor joists and insulation in this area.
The "after" picture shows the crawlspace but with our CleanSpace liner installed. This crawlspace looks like a completely new area after our crew came in and installed this system. CleanSpace is a huge part of the system, but there are several other parts that were extremely important. Two other huge pieces of the system include the SmartSump Pump System and the dehumidifier that were installed. The SmartSump is where all of the water drains to, and is then pumped out and away from the home. The dehumidifier ensures that the humidity level of the crawlspace stays below the level that mold can grow at.
