This photo shows off what the area looked like when our Systems Design Specialist first visited the home. Fortunately for them, there were not very many signs of intense water intrusion. This means that they were able to catch the problem before any serious damage was done, which is always a positive.
Here is another photo of the area that the homeowner was concerned about having water intrusion. This homeowner wanted to make sure that they didn't need to worry about this area any further, so when they saw the System Design Specialist's proposal to install our WaterGuard drain in this area, they happily accepted it and scheduled a date for installation.
Here is a close up of the WaterGuard drain that was installed in the floor of the basement. This drain helps to catch the water that comes through the basement floor and wall. The water is immediately caught by the WaterGuard and then drained to the sump pump. The small grey port that can be seen is an inspection port that allows our technicians to check the drain for any possible blockages.
This shows a little more of the WaterGuard that was installed in the basement of the home. The WaterGuard works because it leaves a small gap between the wall and the floor, which is how the water gets collected. It is completely in the ground, which is great because it doesn't take up any square footage in the basement.
This was the sump system that was installed in the basement in order to pump out the water collected by the WaterGuard. This SuperSump pump system has several added benefits besides just a great pump. One of the biggest benefits of this system is the WaterWatch Alarm, which alerts the homeowner if the pump has failed. It provides enough time for the homeowner to address the problem without much consequence.
This homeowner had been noticing a strange smell in their basement for a little while before they gave us a call. While this smell can mean a lot of things, quite often it is one of the early signs of water intrusion which could lead to further damage. Fortunately this homeowner was able to catch the problem before it got out of hand. He called us and just a few days later one of our System Design Specialists was able to make it out to the home. Upon further inspection the Specialist knew that a WaterGuard drain system with a SuperSump pump system would be the perfect fix for this area. This photo gallery will show off what the area looked like before and what it looked like after the crew had installed the system.
