We deal with hundreds of homes and crawlspaces every year, here at All-Dry, some are worse than others, while some are better. Unfortunately for this homeowner, their crawlspace was leaning towards the worse side of the spectrum. If they would have waited any longer to get their problems taken care of, they definitely would have been on the naughty list!
During rains, water would come pouring into this crawlspace, leaving huge puddles under the home. This, of course, is a very bad for the crawlspace because as the water evaporates it makes its way onto floor joists and the insulation. This will eventually cause mold and mildew to grow, which can cause even more problems for the homeowner.
Thankfully though, this was a pretty quick and easy fix for All-Dry to knock out. Our crew installed CleanSpace liner, a SantaFe Edge II dehumidifier, and a SuperSump sump pump in order to help this homeowner ease their nerves about their crawlspace flooding again. These three products do a great job in sealing a crawlspace and keeping the moisture out.
The SuperSump is installed first, and is what pumps out the water in that gets into the crawlspace. Next, comes the CleanSpace, which is what really "seals" the deal! The CleanSpace is probably the most important part because it is what keeps the crawlspace separate from the outside world. After those two products were installed, the crew put in the dehumidifier. The SantaFe Edge II is a great dehumidifier that helps to regulate the humidity in the air. When it begins to get too high, the dehumidifier will turn on and begin pulling the water out of the air.
