This customer wanted to make sure that when it rained, they didn't have to worry about their basement flooding. Basement flooding can cause a lot of headaches. Not only do you have to have it pumped out or drained in some way, you have to worry about all of your furniture and other items getting soaked and damaged beyond repair. This is especially devastating when you have photo albums, heirlooms, and other precious items on the floor of your basement.
Luckily, this family called us before they had to worry about any of these things. They decided to do install some simple, yet effective products to keep their basement from becoming a swimming pool. The two main products they had installed were Waterguard XL and a SuperSump sump pump. These two products together can do a lot of good. This family also installed a small amount of CleanSpace liner.
The CleanSpace Liner helps to keep any water from penetrating the drywall and getting into the basement, while also creating a slide for any water or moisture down to the Waterguard. The Waterguard is installed on the perimeter of the basement in the floor. It collects any water that comes from the basement wall (where the CleanSpace is installed) or if water somehow makes its way into the basement. The water is then channeled to a sump pump which pumps out the water.
This family in Spartanburg will not have to worry about any flooding in their basement...ever. They went with a few products that will provide a lot of protection from the rain and flooding that has and could happen in Spartanburg.
This homeowner in Spartanburg had some pretty serious issues in his crawlspace. A lot of water that pooled up under the home caused a lot of damage under the home. The moisture under the home created an environment in which mold and fungus could and did begin to grow. This customer needed a lot of work done to encapsulate their crawlspace and keep the moisture out. Not only did they have problems with their crawlspace, but they also had issues with soft, bouncy, and sagging floors. It was safe to say that their home was is pretty bad shape, but it was not anything that our experts at All-Dry of the Carolinas could not handle!
The first thing that we had to address was the sagging floors. In order to correct the floors and provide a stable place for the homeowner and family to walk on, we used SmartJacks. In fact, we had to use 21 SmartJacks in order to get this home into a stable position. We also had to install supplemental beams for this home. The supplemental beams are used when there is either too much room between the existing girders or when the existing floor joists/girders are not as able to support the home.
After the SmartJacks were taken care of, we needed to work on getting the crawlspace into order. This was a much bigger job that needed many more products to make sure it was secure and the homeowner would not have to worry about a flooded or even wet crawlspace. One of the first things that needed to be done is to clean off any mold or fungus that was growing. Our crew does this by using Mold-X, which kills existing mold and helps to prevent future mold growth. After this, we begin to install our products. The main product that we installed was our CleanSpace Liner. The liner is what really provides the protection from the outside world and what prevents moisture from getting into the crawlspace. Auxiliary products that we installed along with the CleanSpace include; a SantaFe Dehumidifier, SilverGlo Insulation and a SuperSump sump pump. The dehumidifier takes out any moisture that does make its way into the crawlspace and drains it to the sump pump. Both the SilverGlo insulation and the SuperSump are installed before or during the CleanSpace installation, this is because the SilverGlo goes behind the CleanSpace and the sump pump must be installed before the CleanSpace is laid down or the seal would not be nearly as good.
While this customer needed a lot of work done on their home, it was all worth it in the end. To have the peace of mind that your home will always be safe for your family and that when you go to sell your home, you will not have to worry about all the extra repairs the buyer wants or even just hoping that anyone will be interested in your home. We are here to make your lives better, less stressful, and to keep you, your family, and your home healthy.
This crawlspace in Boiling Springs was almost in shambles. The first two pictures show this pretty well. There was debris everywhere, as well as fallen, moldy insulation. The first picture gives a great view of how well mold can grow on insulation. This was one of the reasons that the homeowner called All-Dry in the first place. They wanted this issue to be taken care of as soon as possible since mold can cause all kind of complications.
While a serious issue, it was a relatively simple fix for us. The main thing we had to do was to make sure that there was no leftover mold once we installed our products. This includes checking the floor joists and the insulation to see if there is any mold growth.
To start off, our crew began to clean out the crawlspace. This means removing all of the old, moldy insulation, bricks, boards, and anything else under the home that shouldn't be. Our crew does this because they need a "flat", clean space to lay the CleanSpace down. A similar concept to cleaning up your floor of toys or anything else before you lay a rug down. After the CleanSpace was laid down and sealed to the outer walls. Our crew also installed a dehumidifier to keep the humidity level in check.

Wall anchors are generally used in basements in order to secure the wall and keep it from bowing in any further, however, this homeowner in Inman, SC asked us to repurpose our anchors in order to keep a retaining wall from completely collapsing.
While we had never actually used wall anchors to hold back a retaining wall, we did use a similar process to hold together a driveway. These wall anchors may not be the most beautiful option for a homeowner, but there usually aren't that many options when it comes to a problem like this. Even though this is a mainly indoor type of solution, we do offer wall anchor covers that make these anchors less unsightly.
In all, our crew installed 24 wall anchors to keep this retaining wall from falling over. The crew had to strategically place each of the anchors along the wall, and mark each of these places. After doing this, the crew went to the neighboring house and marked out where each wall anchor plate was going to have to be installed. Once this was done, they cut and dug to the correct depth. The two plates were connected and this process was repeated for 23 more anchors. The holes were then refilled with dirt and new concrete was poured, which is what the last picture shows.
This homeowner was beyond excited to their retaining wall fixed for good! Maybe not the prettiest solution, but it certainly was an effective one! If you are in the Inman area and have any foundation issues with your home, please call us or fill out a customer contact form for a free estimate!
This home in Lyman, South Carolina had some serious foundation problems with their chimney. The first photo shows just how serious this issue was, with parts of the crack being over an inch wide. One reason why chimneys start to show signs of settlement before the actual home will is because chimneys are often on a separate slab than the home. This provides less support for the chimney, and when settlement starts to happen, it takes a bigger and more dramatic toll on the chimney.
Although this is a very serious and dramatic issue, especially compared to some of the jobs that we do, it is a very simple fix! A few push piers were able to bring this chimney back to life! All in all, only two push piers were installed in order to correct the foundation settlement of the chimney. Our crew started out by digging around the chimney until the reached the bottom of the foundation. Once at the bottom of the foundation, the push piers were driven deep into the ground and attached to the foundation. The crew started working their magic and the chimney started to rise until it was back to its original position.
This is one of the more incredible transformations that I've seen push piers do. While push piers usually are able to get the foundation very close to the original position, in this case, it seems to have brought the foundation completely back together.

This home had a lot of foundation work that needed to be done to it, including SmartJacks, wall anchors, and push piers. This homeowner made the trifecta, because these are the three main foundation repair products that we have here at All-Dry of the Carolinas. The SmartJacks were used to support beams in the garage, the wall anchors were used to help correct the bowing basement walls, and the push piers were installed to keep the foundation in its proper place.
The first part of this job was to bring the foundation to the proper level and help to close some of the small cracks that this home was having. The push piers are installed first because of how they can change the level of the foundation. Even though this home did not need to be raised nearly as much as others, it is always best to follow procedure.
Next came the wall anchors into the basement wall. Anything dealing with a home's foundation is very serious, but a caved in wall can cause more than a huge headache for a homeowner. While this wall wasn't in danger of caving in, it is always important to deal with sooner, because a catastrophic wall failure is a huge deal, as you can imagine.
Last, but not least our crew installed two SmartJacks next to the garage door, which is what the second two pictures are of. Our crew had to cut out a small square of concrete on each side of the garage door in order to provide an area to install the SmartJacks in. These SmartJacks installed in order to support the beams above the garage door.

This business in Woodruff was having some issues with water intrusion in their basement area, as well as a healthy amount of worrying about future foundation issues. The main problem that they were having was with their downspouts, especially in heavy rains. In total, this business had at least four downspouts on the backside of their store.
When it started to rain, the gutters would do their jobs by collecting the water, and funneling them to the downspouts, to hopefully get the water away from the building and foundation. Unfortunately, this is where a wrench was thrown into the process. The water wasn't actually getting away from the building, but just sitting right next to the walls. This was beginning to cause the owner a lot of problems, so he wanted it taken care of quickly and professionally, so when he called, one of our great Service Design Specialist went to check out the issue. Upon his inspection, he figured out the best plan of attack.
The plan for this project was to essentially connect the gutters and downspouts straight to the sewer drain. In order to complete this, a few things needed to happen. First off, we had to find the closest drain and the best way to get to it. Luckily there was a drain, just a few feet away, with a very clear path to it. The next thing to take care of was to make sure that all of the water from the downspouts. To solve this problem it was relatively simple, we were able to extend the downspouts into the lateral drain that was installed in around the perimeter of the building.
That is the gist of what we did for this customer, and it may not seem like much, but let's see why it works so well. First off, the business's biggest problem was standing water around the foundation. While we aren't able to completely stop rain and water from accumulating around the foundation, making it so that no water coming from the gutters is getting anywhere near the foundation is a great start. This simple and easy solution makes a huge difference, by severely limiting the amount of water that can make its way to the foundation.

This homeowner was not happy when he noticed that water was leaking through his basement walls. This was the reason the homeowner initially called us to come out to his home. The basement was more important than most because the homeowner used his basement for storage and didn't want any problems with everything that was stored here.
This was a relatively simple request for All-Dry to help the homeowner out with. We sent a specialist out to this home to figure out exactly what was wrong with the basement, and what we could do to fix these problems. Our specialist did not find anything too far out of the ordinary in this basement, besides the water leaking through the walls. However, this was an issue that we see quite frequently, and something that we knew would be a relatively easy fix for the owner.
In order to help this homeowner make his basement healthy again, our Specialist suggested having a SuperSump pump system and over 70 feet of WaterGuard to be installed. These products work amazingly well together to keep water from staying in the basement and is a system that quickly expunges water from the area.
The sump pump is installed first, so that the crew knows exactly where to run the WaterGuard drain. This is a relatively simple process, although a loud one! The crew jackhammers the concrete where the sump pump and the WaterGuard will go, after cleaning the area up, the products were installed. After the products are in and installed correctly, more concrete is mixed up and poured over the areas. While it is very noticeable in these photos, when it has time to cure, it looks much better and more naturally.
We are so glad that we were able to give Mr. Burns his basement back using our system. If you are having similar problems as Mr. Burns or are in the Landrum area and have basement, crawl space, or foundation issues, please give us a call!
Mr. Cash was having some problems under his home with both water intrusion/mold and with sagging floors in his home. These are both pretty serious issues since one had to do with the health of the owner and the other problem has to do with the health and safety of the home. Mr. Cash noticed his floor sagging for awhile, but did not think too much of it, but when he noticed a strange odor in the crawl space, he decided it was time to see what the problem was.
Our Service Design Specialist, Jonathan Geddie went out to this home to check, mainly on the mold issue that the owner was worried about. While Jonathan did find a lot of issues with the crawlspace as far as moisture and mold, he also found the cause of the sagging floors. The best part about his inspection was that he was able to find solutions for every problem that was found under the home.
The first thing that was done in this crawlspace was the correct the sagging floors. This was done in a two-step process. First off, we had to get some supplemental beam, which is an extra length of the beam that helps to equally disperse the weight of the home to each of the SmartJacks in order to help decrease the pressure on each individual SmartJack. In total, there were six SmartJacks that were installed under this home.
After the SmartJacks were installed in the crawlspace, the crew started to focus on the encapsulation of the crawlspace. This was a very extensive encapsulation, which meant that there was a lot of work to do, installing a lot of different products. The crew started off by installing the SuperSump pump system in the lowest area in the home in order to pump out the water that will drain through from the drain tile that was also installed in the crawlspace.
After the drain tile was laid out, the SilverGlo and CleanSpace liner began to be installed. Once the CleanSpace was completely on the crawl space floor and walls, our crew sprayed Mold-X, which is a product that kills and protects against mold. The final touch on this full encapsulation was for the installation of one of our dehumidifiers, which helps to keep the moisture down under the home at a reasonable level so that mold will not be able to grow.

Some homes that we work on are worse off than others, this home was somewhere in the middle. It certainly was not as bad as some of the homes that we do, but it was in worse shape than many of them. This homeowner was dealing with quite a bit of water in his crawlspace, which was beginning to cause problems with mold in the crawlspace. When the homeowner knew that he needed professional help, he called us to see what we could do.
A lot of different options were proposed to the homeowner, but they decided to go with a pretty intense solution, which includes; 3 inch drain tile, CleanSpace Liner, sealing vents, an EverLast door, a LawnScape Outlet, and a SuperSump pump! This homeowner wanted to be certain that they were extremely protected when it came to their crawlspace, which is why they decided on going all out for this system.
Our crews started off with the drain tile and SuperSump, because these products had to be installed under the CleanSpace Liner, while most of the rest did not have to be. The only thing left to put on before the CleanSpace was for the crew to seal the vents, which prevents air from coming through the vents and into the crawlspace. After these products were installed, our crew began to lay out the CleanSpace, which is one of the most important parts of the system. After the CleanSpace was done, the crew started to install the "complementary" products such as the EverLast door and LawnSacape outlet (which can be seen in the third photo. These products are extremely helpful in making an encapsulated crawlspace even better!
If you're in Spartanburg or the surrounding area, please give us a call! As you may have guessed, we specialize in basement and crawlspace waterproofing, as well as foundation repair. Our number is 1-833-567-3972.
Many basements, especially with outdoor access have issues with water getting in during heavy rains/floods, which is one reason why we suggest having a system installed before this becomes a serious issue. Unfortunately, this was not the case for this homeowner, who decided to get the system installed after they began to have issues. However, it's better to be late than never!
Our Systems Design Specialist went to the home and started to see exactly what the issues were, and figured out the best solution to the problem. The solution included some WaterGuard, a few feet of TrenchDrain, and a new sump pump. The WaterGuard was to be installed in the main area of the basement, while the SuperSump sump pump system and the TrenchDrain were installed just outside of this area.
When our crew was able to get out to the home, they started by installing the new SuperSump sump pump. This was a relatively easy task, because the homeowner actually had an old sump pump for the home, which can be seen in the first photo. After the sump pump was installed, the crew moved on to removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement for our WaterGuard. The "after" photo of the WaterGuard can be seen in the third photo. WaterGuard leaves a small gap between the floor and wall so that any water that soaks through the wall will fall into the drain and go to the SuperSump. Last but not least, the TrenchDrain was installed just outside the basement door (next to the sump pump). This drain helps to catch water before it gets into the basement, and drains the water straight to the sump pump.

Water intrusion is one of the biggest problems that we deal with here at All-Dry of the Carolinas, in both crawlspaces and basements. However, this crawlspace was on a whole other level. The first photo shows just how bad this homeowner's problem was, the area was soaked. At this point, the dirt/clay under the home in this area had become mud. This much moisture is never good, and was one of the main reasons that we wanted to get this taken care of as soon as possible.
Our Systems Design Specialist went out to the home to figure out exactly what should be done to help correct the issue with the crawlspace. With this much water getting into the crawlspace, our Specialist knew what needed to be done, a full CleanSpace encapsulation. The Specialist also suggested that the homeowner purchase a dehumidifier, as well as extend their downspouts to help keep the water away from the crawlspace.
The first thing that was done in the crawlspace was to install the CleanSpace liner. This liner helps to separate the crawlspace from the outside, and because of its construction and thickness, it does this job extremely well. While CleanSpace does a great job, it can't always be a lone wolf and usually needs some assistance. In this case, we installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier to help keep the relative humidity level under the level that mold can grow, because that is something that we definitely don't want to happen. An extremely important part of this was to extend the downspouts, because it rerouted the gutters/downspouts away from the home.

This homeowner called us when they suspected that mold was growing in their crawlspace. This is never a good thing and was certainly something that we wanted to check out quickly. Mold can cause some pretty severe health problems, if not taken care of promptly. The homeowner's suspicions were confirmed when our Specialist Alex Rogers went out to the home. There was active mold in different areas in the crawlspace, and was something that definitely needed to be taken care of.
Fortunately, this is a very common issue that we see with homes almost daily. The mold was certainly in the crawlspace, but could have been much worse. Our Systems Design Specialist suggested a perfect solution for this problem, which included a CleanSpace encapsulation and a dehumidifier. These two products are able to work together in order to provide a great atmosphere to keep moisture and mold out.
When our crew arrived at the home, they begin by cleaning out the crawlspace. This meant mainly picking up debris such as insulation and the old crawlspace liner in order to prepare the area for the CleanSpace liner. By removing all of the debris, we make sure that the crawlspace is set up and cleaned out to our standards. The CleanSpace liner is then laid out along the walls and floors of the crawlspace. The sheets of CleanSpace area sealed together, as well as at the top of the walls. After the CleanSpace was installed, the crew then installed the dehumidifier. The dehumidifier helps to keep the relative humidity low enough so that mold will not grow in the crawlspace and create any other problems.

Many of the homes that we see here at All-Dry of the Carolinas have more subtle water intrusion than just a small river flowing through the crawlspace. This happened to be the case for this particular homeowner. Fortunately they realized the signs of a high moisture level pretty quickly. This homeowner was actually quite familiar with our products because, as a contractor, he had our systems installed in a few of the homes he had worked on.
The homeowner knew that our systems worked because he'd seen it several times before. So when our System Design Specialist came out to the home to assess exactly what was needed to fix the problems, the homeowner, without much deliberation, decided to get the work done. The proposal included the installation of CleanSpace, SilverGlo Insulation, a dehumidifier, and treatment with Mold-X.
Once the crew was able to get out to the home, they got straight to work! They began by spraying the Mold-X along the floor joists which kills the mold and helps to prevent future growth. The crew then installed the SilverGlo along the walls of the crawlspace. The biggest part of the project was laying down the CleanSpace, but this is also the most important part of the installation. The CleanSpace acts as a barrier between the ground and the crawlspace, keeping almost all of the moisture out. Last but not least, the crew installed the dehumidifier, which keeps the humidity level below around 55%, which is where mold can grow.

High humidity levels are a key indicator that a crawlspace may be in rough shape. When the humidity in a crawlspace is high, many times the humidity will cause water to condense on the cold pipes and ducting that run below the home. The water will then often drips off and pools down below. While this is not always a big deal, especially at first, it can certainly turn into some pretty serious issues.
This happened to be the case for this home, and can be seen in the first photo quite easily. There is also a very obvious line that runs the length of the ducting where the water had dripped down. If left unchecked, this could have easily turned into a more serious issue, like mold beginning to grow. Fortunately, the homeowner gave us a call and we sent one of our System Design Specialists out there to figure out exactly what needed to be done. This crawlspace needed quite a bit of work in order to make sure that this homeowner never had to worry about a wet crawlspace anymore!
The next part of the job was for the crew to come out and install the system that was quoted by our Specialist. The crew started of by digging out an area for the SuperSump pump and installing it. After this they began getting into what can be seen in most of the photos, the drainage matting and more importantly the CleanSpace liner, which really seals up the area. Last but not least, they crew brought in and installed the dehumidifier. While the CleanSpace does an excellent job at keeping water and moisture out, the dehumidifier is there just to ensure that the humidity level is low enough the mold growth is prevented.
This homeowner decided to give All-Dry of the Carolinas a call when they noticed water getting into their basement, especially during heavy rains. One of our System Design Specialists was able to go out to the home and take a look at the issues that they were having. While he was doing his inspection he noticed another potential issue in the basement. He noticed that one of the walls in the basement had some cracks.
This led our Specialist to assess the situation and figure out what needed to be done to address both the water intrusion issue and the cracking foundation wall. Fortunately since the wall was in the very early stages the Specialist had the perfect solution for the cracking walls, CarbonArmor Straps. As far as the water intrusion he suggested that we install CleanSpace wall, as well as WaterGuard drain, and a SuperSump Pump System installed.
Not long after the homeowner decided to have the work done, our crew was able to make it out to the home. The crew began the job by removing the concrete along the perimeter of the basement for the WaterGuard to be installed later. The crew then got to work on installing the CarbonArmor straps. These straps are made of carbon fiber and are extremely strong. They adhere to the walls and are usually installed when the walls are beginning to crack, but aren't too far gone. The straps prevent the walls from bowing in any further. The crew then got to work on installing the CleanSpace wall to cover the walls of the basement and the WaterGuard drain. Both of these products worked together in order to keep water out of the basement. Last but not least came the SuperSump pump system to actually pump the water out and away from the home.
If you have moisture issues in your basement or crawlspace, odds are that you’re fully aware of it. Moisture issues in the basement can be made known by a variety of issues. One of the more obvious, most prominent signs of moisture issues is the evidence that water leaves behind once it has broken into a space and dried. Nine times out of ten, this evidence is almost always an unsightly mess.
Let’s take this home in Spartanburg, SC as an example. Before this homeowner decided to give All-Dry of the Carolinas a call, whenever it rained too hard they experienced a small flood right into their basement. When the water dried, it left behind dirt, debris, and an unwelcome stain to mark its territory. Despite visiting only during large down pours, the water had left its calling card. And this calling card would be shooed and scrubbed away, only to return in a few weeks with a vengeance. What’s more is that this was a problem the homeowners could not ignore. They didn’t sleep in this space, but it was frequented quite often by the home’s inhabitants. In the picture, you can even see a bike. This issue couldn’t go ignored.
Finally fed up, they called in the experts and we got to work. Our Design Specialist for the project prescribed a few items to rid the home of all of its water issues.
We installed CleanSpace Wall, the white material we use to line the space. It’s a 20 mils thick, reinforced material corded with polyester. It’s similar to a pool liner, but it’s extremely durable and nearly impossible to rip or tear. What the CleanSpace does is stops water vapor, drains wall leaks and dramatically brightens the basement. To actually get rid of the water, we installed our TripleSafe Sump pump and paired it with the WaterGuard drain system, our LawnScape outlet and the Sedona dehumidifier. As an added measure, we also installed a Vehicle Traffic Drain. Altogether, the system was able to rid the homeowners of their horrendous moisture issue.
If the home is where the heart is, the crawlspace of the home makes up the intricate web of nerves that surround the heart. It’s—quite literally—the nerve center. Your crawlspace and comfy home is separated only by a wooden floor, which isn’t always sufficient to keep that heart running efficiently. Many people know this because they will have insulation installed. In theory, it’s a good idea. However, if the insulation is damp, it doesn’t always do its job. In the winter time, your floors will be cold. During the summer, it will be hot. Now, this isn’t entirely the insulation’s fault.
Many homes have vents that connect the crawlspace to the rest of the home. These vents, of course, are open, so that moist air will travel all the way from your crawlspace into your home. As the air travels, it will take along many other unwanted things with it. But that’s not the only issue. Having a dirt crawlspace is problematic. It’s a cheap, easy option in the beginning. Regardless, in the long run it can end up costing you more money than you first realized. That is what this Spartanburg, South Carolina homeowner discovered when they continued to have moisture problems in their home and crawlspace.
The heavy rains didn’t help. The walls would leak whenever there was a storm, flooding the crawlspace and staining the walls. It was a bit of a mess when they finally contacted All-Dry of the Carolinas to come and take a look. But, that’s to be expected. Our Design Specialist, Jonathan Geddie, came out and took a look at the home. In the end, it was decided that the crawlspace needed our patented CleanSpace liner, an EverLast Door, a SuperSump pump, and the vents needed sealing.
After the job was finished, all of those aforementioned problems just disappeared. I’m sure the homeowners are more than happy then went ahead and gave us a call.
All-Dry of the Carolinas is no stranger to problematic crawlspaces. We definitely see more crawlspaces than the average person will ever see in a life. We definitely know more about crawlspaces than the average person will ever care to know in a lifetime. But, that just comes with the territory.
This particular crawlspace in Lyman, South Carolina had the potential to fit the bill for problematic a crawlspace. When they owner contacted us, he described a crawlspace in great need of a rescue. The floor joists looked like they might have had mold on them, the insulation looked horrendous, and the crawlspace seemed unusually damp. This all added up to a problem filled crawlspace. Regardless, we knew how to play this.
We sent out our Design Specialist, Jonathan Geddie, to provide a free estimate. His investigation revealed all that the customer feared and more. We needed to set to work. The customer had contacted us to begin with because we had actually completed a job at his friend’s home. We had gained his trust; we just needed to move forward with the job. Move forward we did.
Our crew set to work soon after the initial estimate. The crew, led by Foreman Will Harris, installed drain tile, CleanSpace, an Aprilaire 1850, a SuperSump pump, and a Lawnscape Outlet. To get rid of the growing mold, we applied our Mold-X Cleaner product. It is sprayed on surfaces as a one-stage process. The piers are wrapped in CleanSpace and the vents into the crawlspace have all been covered. This insures that the encapsulation is complete and that no air from the outside will disrupt the crawlspace. It’s very important that we create an isolated space in the crawlspace. It must be isolated from the dirt floor as well as the outside air. If this doesn’t happen, the crawlspace will continue to be affected. The insulation, as shown here, will continue to fill with water and fall to the ground. Mold will grow where there is moisture. It only needs the barest bit of moisture to thrive. A total encapsulation strives to eliminate all of these elements.
Once we’d finished the job, the owner was quite a happy with it. And we were happy too because we were able to overcome a potentially problematic crawlspace.
More than people care to admit, the issues in their crawlspace happen gradually. It’s hard to notice at first, if you don’t really know what to look for. Eventually, after finding the occasional problem here and there, the owner realizes that the problem is bigger than they thought. Something should be done.
Luckily, this Chesnee, South Carolina homeowner came to that conclusion quickly. From the dampness in the air to the water collecting in the walls, every sign was there. We, the professionals at All-Dry of the Carolinas, had the means to fix them.
The process was handled in a few stages. We sent out our Design Specialist, Jonathan Geddie, to investigate the property and comb every inch of the crawlspace. His inspection revealed what we expected. Water pooled from the walls and water vapor rose from the dirt like clockwork. The humidity was out of this world. Fortunately, the Specialist suggested a few products to rectify all of the issues in the crawlspace. It started off with drainage matting paired with our CleanSpace liner. The entrance is secured with an EverLast Door and a SuperSump Plus pump is connected to a LawnScape outlet. The Interior vents are also sealed. And to finish off the encapsulation, we install an Aprilaire 1850 dehumidifier.
We have no doubt that all of these products were able to work together and solve that pesky moisture problem.
This finished basement in Inman, SC was taking on water. Our All-Dry of the Carolinas team installed out waterproofing technology, such as CleanSpace, draining matting, a sump pump, a LawnScape outlet, and a WaterGuard. A water guard is a system that intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SumpPump where it is then flushed from the basement. WaterGuard is different because it is designed to not sit in dirt like most draining systems do. There is a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall allowing wall seepage to drain through the WaterGuard while keeping it away from the dirt. Since this type of drainage is separated from dirt, the chances of it clogging are nearly impossible!
When it comes to your crawlspace, protecting it from moister is very important. In this Campobello, SC home the crawlspace was taking on large amounts of moister. Not only was moister the problem, but the crawlspace was littered with debris, trash, and an old liner. To solve this problem, our All-Dry of the Carolinas team encapsulated the entire crawlspace.
Our All-Dry crew was able to install a series of our waterproofing technology that would take care of the water issue in the crawlspace. Our crew installed a CleanSpace liner, sump pump, and dehumidifier. When encapsulating the crawlspace with CleanSpace, it seals the area to keep moisture from creeping up from the ground and causing damage to your foundation. A dehumidifier was placed in the crawlspace as a solution to the humidity that is produced from the pipes under your house. A SumpPump is to flush out entering water and excess water from the dehumidifer from the crawlspace. Together with all these tools, the crawlspace is completely protected from moisture.
This homeowner in Moore, South Carolina, called All-Dry of the Carolinas to freshen up the situation that was happening in their crawlspace. In every situation, All-Dry of the Carolinas’ team takes the time to teach homeowners about the dangers of what a wet or damp crawl space can do to your home. This family chose to have their crawlspace encapsulated to prevent damage that could potentially occur if not treated. With the help of our Design Specialist, the homeowners were able to protect their home by installing a SuperSump pump, a CleanSpace Liner, and drainage matting. The CleanSpace is designed to keep the moister that comes from the ground trapped under the liner. Any condensation that is produced will fall onto the drainage mat. If any large amounts of water enter the crawlspace the SumpPump will easily flush it from the area.
This Moore, SC home needed some help with its foundation. The home had begun to sag and needed something to rely on. Thanks to our All-Dry of the Carolinas team we were able to give this home’s foundation the support it needed! . You can see that SmartJacks was added to give the foundation the support it needed. This home in Spartanburg, SC was experiencing water in their basement. Water would come into the basement by dripping down the walls and puddling in the floor around the perimeter of the space. To solve this problem our All-Dry of the Carolinas team installed CleanSpace Wall and WaterGuard.
CleanSpace wall was added to the wall to keep the moister and water concealed as it drained into the WaterGuard. The WaterGuard system then intercepts the water at the perimeter of the basement and drains it unseen and safely into the SmartSump where it is then flushed from the basement. The WaterGuard leads the water to the SuperSump where it is then flushed from the basement outside to the LawnScape outlet. All resulting in a dry basement!
Imagine walking down into your crawl space to find that it looks like a swamp. Water is standing around the edge of your crawl space as if there is a moat. Mud and dirt litter the crawl space creating moisture in the air that is beginning to damage your home. This amount of water collecting in the crawl space creates issues to the homes foundation, floors, paint, and can also lead to mold and mildew.
When this homeowner in Pauline, SC found his crawl space in this position, he called us at All-Dry of the Carolinas. We sent out our design specialist, Alex Rogers, to check out the crawl space and to give the customer an estimate on the best way to fix this problem. Alex suggested that the best way to get control of this moisture and water intrusion would be to encapsulate the crawl space.
This home in Landrum, SC was getting water into their basement. This was becoming a real inconvenience for the homeowners since the basement was used as a storage space. They had installed their own sump pump that was unable to help with keeping the basement dry. The homeowners realized that they needed to bring in professional help for interior waterproofing, so they called us at All-Dry of the Carolinas. We sent our design specialist David Listovitch to check out this homes basement and to give the homeowners the best options for keeping their space dry.
David recommended the best interior drainage system that is offered, WaterGuard, be installed around the edges of the basement. WaterGuard is installed into the basement by having a trench jackhammered around the perimeter of the basement. Weep holes are drilled into the base of the basement walls so that any water that builds up in the blocks will be drained out into the system. The WaterGuard is then placed into the trench; it has a special wall flange that extends up the wall by 3/8” to catch all water that comes down the wall. WaterGuard sits on top of the soil so that there isn’t any chance of clogging like other drainage systems. The WaterGuard is then attached to a SuperSump pump that flushes the water from the basement. Once the entire drainage system is in place, the gaps are filled in with gravel and it is covered with cement to make the system invisible.
