Before and After Pictures from Seneca

This home in Seneca was having some pretty serious issues with water getting into their basement. This was an especially important and serious issue because the basement in this home was a finished basement. This means that when the water gets in, it can start to ruin drywall, carpet, and even furniture! This can cause even more damage and repair and replacement costs will drastically go up (as well as still having to get the drainage system installed).

The "before" picture shows this closet area, which will be the home of the new sump pump, as well as the WaterGuard drainage system that was installed! While it doesn't look like much right now (I mean, it is just a closet), this room will be extremely important to the overall well-being of this basement and home as a whole.

The "after" photo shows the same area, but with our products installed. This area went through quite a large transformation throughout this process. It hardly looks like the same area anymore, with all of the different products installed and half of the wall gone!

What is seen here is, most noticeably, the TripleSafe Sump Pump, which pumps that water from the basement and to the outside. The next product is the CleanSpace liner, which is why the drywall has been cut. The liner helps to direct the water (seeping in through the walls) to the WaterGuard drain. The WaterGuard Drain is what really helps out this basement. It is a perimeter drain that collects the water from the basement walls. It then drains the water to the sump pump.

Many people don't realize that they may have water or moisture issues with their basements and crawlspaces for much too long. Many people believe that a little water or dampness in these areas is actually normal. While it may be normal, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is healthy or the proper way for it to be handled.

This crawlspace area was in pretty bad shape when our System Design Specialist first went out to the home. The first photo gives a pretty good look at the condition of the crawlspace. At some point this area had been flooded, which can be seen by the water line that is about a third of the way up the wall. The homeowner knew that there was some problems, so they had a sump pump installed at some point. However this wasn't doing a good enough job, which is why the homeowner ended up giving All-Dry of the Carolinas a call.

The system that our Specialist suggested to have installed mainly consisted of CleanSpace and the SuperSump pump system. Although the crew also removed the insulation in the crawlspace, and rolled out drainage matting to help move the water towards the sump pump. The CleanSpace covered almost the entirety of the crawlspace, covering the floors and walls. This keeps moisture and water from getting into the the crawlspace and causing more damage. Another extremely important piece of the system was the SuperSump, which is able to pump out over 2,600 gallons of water per hours.

Job Stories From Seneca, SC
Dehumidifier Installation in Seneca, SC

This home in Seneca, South Carolina was having some problems with high humidity levels in their crawlspace. In order to get this crawl space back into good shape, our Systems Design Specialist suggested the homeowner go for an encapsulated crawlspace. This includes having CleanSpace liner installed and usually at least a sump pump. However, the homeowner did not want to do all of that, so we allowed him to only have a SaniDry CSB dehumidifier installed, as well as the crawl space vents sealed.

The first picture shows the area in which the SaniDry dehumidifier will be installed. The fortunate part of this home was that they already had a pump, so we were able to work off of that pump. Since this was such a small job, it did not take our crew too long to knock it out. The first thing that the crew did was to seal the vents in the crawlspace. This can be seen in the first photo, above the discharge line. This prevents air and moisture from coming into the crawlspace. If you'd like to know why sealing vents helps to cut down on humidity, check out one of our blogs!

After all of the vents were sealed, our crew installed the dehumidifier, which was a very simple process. The homeowner had already had an electrician install a dedicated outlet, which took care of the power issue. Our crew took in the dehumidifier, plugged it in and it began to run! The dehumidifier can be seen in the third picture. The next and final thing to do was to put in a drain line to that pump, and run a drainage line to the outside. The drain line can be seen in the second picture and is the white PVC pipe leading to the outside. This prevents water from staying in the crawlspace and causing problems.

After most recent rains, water is leaking into basement from walk out door and through the floor under the stairs.
Vicinity of South Oak St in Seneca
My basement is partially below ground and when there is a lot of rain water seeps up through fine cracks in the concrete (it is a concrete floor) and around the edges of the basement causing flooding. We purchased the house a year ago and it is apparent it has tried to be fixed with some kind of sealant, which hasn't worked. We have added gutters to the house directing water to the downside which seems to have helped in moderate rain, however when there is a lot of rain it hasn't helped at all.

Need an estimate on moisture barrier and insulation replacement (if you offer that) for a crawl space that is approximately 700 sq ft
Vicinity of Morgan Lane in Seneca
Looking to purchase an older home located at 124 Morgan Lane in Seneca, SC. The home inspection revealed water in the very small crawl space (with no moisture barrier) and damp walls in the unfinished basement area. The home inspector stated that (he thinks) the majority of the water was coming from the the metal roof overhand. The overhang on the metal roof exceeds the required length of 2 inches. Therefore when it rains, the water over shoots the installed gutters. The other issue is the concrete driveway. When it rains the water running down the concrete driveway runs toward the foundation. Need an estimate on waterproofing the basement. Getting quotes on the roof and driveway repairs. We like the house and plan to add an extra living space in the basement. Need to know if its worth it. Email contact would be best.

Vicinity of Coolview Dr in Seneca
Interior walls leaking during heavy storms. Exterior area has concrete walkway tight to wall. Need interior water proofing.
Vicinity of Stillwater in Seneca
Had some mold removed from a closet wall by a mold remediation company. Contractor said the following: "In the crawlspace the rim board is completely saturated and will not dry. It more than likely will need to be replaced, and unfortunately that is beyond the scope of work that we can perform. It can potentially involve raising and supporting the house on jacks in the crawlspace, removing a section of the cement board siding and sheathing that is attached to the rim board on the exterior of the home, removal and replacement of the beam, new sheathing, cement board siding, paint to match, etc." The house is 9 years old. And the problem originated from a siding nail cracking a PVP condensation pipe leading from the HVAC system. Insurance will not cover this and the builder went bankrupt.
