Job Stories From Rabun County, GA
Floor to door CleanSpace Encapsulation System in Rabun Gap, NC

Robert B. noticed moisture and falling insulation under his home one day. He searched for solutions and people to provide them, eventually finding and choosing us! We sent out at system design specialist who was able to tell him exactly what was needed to fix the problem under his home.

In this case, Robert decided on a full encapsulation of his crawlspace, literally from floor to door. He spared no expense when making sure his crawlspace was safe and protected from the elements! The main product used in this job was CleanSpace Liner. However, we also installed a few SmartJacks and an Everlast crawlspace door! Our crew laid the CleanSpace everywhere! This included the walls and floors of the crawlspace! To top it all off, it was sealed with an Everlast door! This really keeps the water and moisture out of your crawlspace. This customer never has to worry about moisture in his crawlspace anymore, because of the system he decided to have installed.

Basement/Crawlspace Encapsulation in Clayton, GA

This home in Clayton, Georgia had a combination project of basement and crawlspace, so this was a unique situation. Since this was a pretty unique situation, we had to take a slightly different approach than usual. Essentially what we did was to Completely encapsulate the area, but instead of having a 3-inch drain tile or drainage mat, our crew installed WaterGuard around the area because the water was mainly coming through the walls.

The reason why this project was so strange was because the area was a very tall crawl space that eventually turned into a basement. As you can see from the first two photos, the area was extremely messy. That was the first order of business, the cleanup and clear out the old liner that had been put in before All-Dry came in. We then started to install the CleanSpace on the walls and put in the WaterGuard. After that, our crew began working on the CleanSpace liner for the ground. This was more of a precautionary idea because often water will come up through the ground.

Overall, while it had some complication, this was a relatively simple job. It took a little bit of creativity to make it work, but our Systems Design Specialist and crew members were able to execute it fantastically.

Stair-Stepping Foundation Cracks around Lakemont, GA Home Has Push Piers Installed

Foundation issues can be very serious and cause a great deal of damage if not taken care of as soon as possible. This homeowner didn't initially call us to take care of a foundation problem, but rather about high moisture levels in the crawlspace. Fortunately for the homeowner, our System Design Specialist noticed several large cracks around the home.

Instead of ignoring these issues, our Specialist took a look at the cracks and figured out the best solution in order to take care of them and provide a stable foundation for the home. The Design Specialist drew up a quote that offered solutions for both the high moisture level in the crawlspace and the cracking foundation of the home. The homeowner knew that not getting them both taken care of could end up costing him more in the long run and that the home would be safe in the long run, so he decided to have the entirety of the work done.

Our crew was able to get out to the home and begin working on the installation of the push piers first, which is the main focus for this article. The crew installed a total of nine push piers along the back and side of the home. The push piers are driven deep into the ground until they reach a stable soil level or bedrock for the home to sit on. Our crew was able to get all nine piers properly installed and lifted, making the foundation safe and secure!

Moisture Problems in Crawlspace in Spartanburg, SC Lead to CleanSpace, SuperSump and EverLast Door

If the home is where the heart is, the crawlspace of the home makes up the intricate web of nerves that surround the heart. It’s—quite literally—the nerve center. Your crawlspace and comfy home is separated only by a wooden floor, which isn’t always sufficient to keep that heart running efficiently. Many people know this because they will have insulation installed. In theory, it’s a good idea. However, if the insulation is damp, it doesn’t always do its job. In the winter time, your floors will be cold. During the summer, it will be hot. Now, this isn’t entirely the insulation’s fault.

Many homes have vents that connect the crawlspace to the rest of the home. These vents, of course, are open, so that moist air will travel all the way from your crawlspace into your home. As the air travels, it will take along many other unwanted things with it. But that’s not the only issue. Having a dirt crawlspace is problematic. It’s a cheap, easy option in the beginning. Regardless, in the long run it can end up costing you more money than you first realized. That is what this Spartanburg, South Carolina homeowner discovered when they continued to have moisture problems in their home and crawlspace.

The heavy rains didn’t help. The walls would leak whenever there was a storm, flooding the crawlspace and staining the walls. It was a bit of a mess when they finally contacted All-Dry of the Carolinas to come and take a look. But, that’s to be expected. Our Design Specialist, Jonathan Geddie, came out and took a look at the home. In the end, it was decided that the crawlspace needed our patented CleanSpace liner, an EverLast Door, a SuperSump pump, and the vents needed sealing.

After the job was finished, all of those aforementioned problems just disappeared. I’m sure the homeowners are more than happy then went ahead and gave us a call.

Standing Water in unfinished Basement

This home in Tallulah Falls, GA was experiencing standing water in the unfinished section of the basement. The unfinished section of the basement had a dirt floor which would absorb the water becoming the perfect breeding ground for mold. As the mold continued to grow, a musty smell began to fill the finished section of the basement, altering the homeowner’s to the issue. Once the homeowners were aware of the issue, they contacted us at All-Dry of the Carolinas to figure out a solution! We sent Jonathan Geddie, one of our Design Specialists out to the property to give the homeowners a free estimate on the work that would be needed to help out this space. After examining the area, Jonathan decided that it would be best to encapsulate the space to remove and prevent further water issues.
