Moisture filled crawlspaces are our bread and butter. We spend a great deal of time in them so we know a lost cause when we see one. Fortunately for most homeowners, most crawlspaces aren’t lost causes. Some, of course, are worse off than others, but most aren’t complete catastrophes.
That is where we find this Old Fort, North Carolina home. This crawlspace was up to its metaphorical ears in moisture. The state of this crawlspace can surely attest to that. It would flood, leak, and fill with tiny, dirty puddles of water. None of it would completely evaporate, turning the crawlspace into a marsh. Moreover, the insulation was so damp it would crumble right down to the dirt floor. The skinny, useless liner would do nothing to keep the moisture at bay. It too would be filled with pockets of stagnant water whenever the homeowner would take a peek into the crawlspace. As always, the little things here slowly, but surely began to affect the upstairs as well. The doors were sticking and the floors were buckling as well.
These little problems led to big issues in their home. They things needed to change quickly.
All-Dry of the Carolinas was called in to do the job. Design Specialist David Listovitch was on the scene. He was able to fully assess the crawlspace and come up with a solution to eliminate the moisture issues and prevent more from starting.
Our crew, led by Foreman Ray, installed CleanSpace, an EverLast Door, a TripleSafe sump, a dehumidifier, and removed the installation. All of these products worked together to seal the crawlspace off from the ground, keep the outside air outside, collect the leaking water and then remove the moisture from the air. It quite literally takes a village, but the homeowners were quite happy with that as well as the effects of a moisture free crawlspace.
This Old Fort homeowner needed a permanent solution to a permanent problem that was affecting the home's crawlspace. This homeowner called All-Dry after they began to notice more and more moisture in their crawlspace. Our Service Design Specialist went out to the customer's home and knew exactly what this home needed to make it happy and healthy again!
Our Specialist recommended a simple CleanSpace Liner installation for this crawlspace, the homeowner agreed, and our crew went to work! This was a very large crawlspace, which was the biggest hump that we ran into in this crawlspace. Luckily for our crew members, the crawl space had a good bit of clearance, which allowed the crew to, literally, have some wiggle room!
The CleanSpace was expertly sealed up by our crew around the supports and the other areas, like piping (as seen in the last picture). This customer opted for the CleanSpace wall as well, which runs all of the way up the way. Having the CleanSpace wall installed helps to keep the moisture coming through the walls from making its way into the crawlspace.
