Most people use the area under their homes as a storage area, weather it be a basement or crawlspace. However, they aren't always the best places to store some things. This homeowner kept a lot of their things in this area, but did not have any real protection against the moisture. This homeowner had used another Basement Systems dealer while living in another state, so they knew about the system and how much it would provide them a dry storage solution. The solution proposed to them by one of our Systems Design Specialists, Jonathan Geddie, was a CleanSpace encapsulation, along with drainage matting, and a dehumidifier. This was a pretty simple, but certainly an effective system. 

The difference between the area before and after encapsulation is pretty significant. Beforehand, it was just an area that was pretty open to moisture and possibly flooding. Afterwards, it was very protected from water and moisture. This homeowner finally has an area where they can store almost anything without having to worry about it being ruined. It also leads to a healthier home! There are no shortage of benefits from a CleanSpace encapsulation!

Anytime you find water in your crawlspace, it can be a pretty bad sign. Luckily this was not the case for this homeowner in Travelers Rest. While they found some standing water, seen in the first picture, it had not gotten to the point of no return. While they did have several different products installed, it was not much different from any other job that we do.

This homeowner decided to go all out so that they would not ever have to worry about a damp, moldy crawlspace ever again. The products that this homeowner decided to have installed include: drain tile, CleanSpace Liner, an Everlast Door, a SantaFe Edge II Dehumidifier, and a SuperSump sump pump. All of these products are used to either prevent water from getting into the crawlspace or removing any water that does get it.

The first few products that are installed before the CleanSpace liner (the main product) are the drain tile, SilverGlo Insulation, and the SuperSump. The reason for all of these being installed before the CleanSpace is mainly because these products need to go behind/below the liner. The drain tile is laid down under the CleanSpace on the ground, and the SilverGlo Insulation is put on the walls behind the CleanSpace. After these products are installed, the CleanSpace is rolled out. The CleanSpace Liner is laid down and sealed on the the floors and walls using various methods. After the CleanSpace was laid out, we installed the last couple products. One of these products was the SantaFe Dehumidifier, this product is used to remove any water from the air and drain it to the sump pump. The other product is the Everlast Door. This door is featured in the second picture and is used to create an airtight seal, unlike many other crawlspace doors.
