This home in Clarkesville, Georgia had some pretty major water intrusion in their crawlspace. While there had been a lot of water and moisture in the home, no permanent damage had been done. You can see how wet the crawlspace had been before our visit, looking at the left wall in the picture you can see that it had started to soak up the water. The second picture also shows how much water was in the crawlspace, but in a different way. The majority of the dirt got there from water picking up dirt and pooling in different areas, then as it dried up, it left the dirt there. As you can see, there is a lot of dirt, which means there was a lot of water.
While this issue could have caused a lot of issues to these homeowners later down the line, they were able to catch the problem and the solution was a relatively simple one. This homeowner only had three different products installed; drain tile, CleanSpace liner, and a SuperSump sump pump. The drain tile is actually more of a pipe that runs around the perimeter of the crawlspace. It helps to collect any water under the CleanSpace liner and directs it to the sump pump. The SuperSump sump pump then pumps the water that had drained to it and pumps it outside the home. The cherry on top, however, is the CleanSpace wall liner. This is what really keeps the crawlspace safe and free from moisture and mold growth. This CleanSpace liner can be seen in the last photo.
